The Pharmaceutical division of Pharmacie Nouvelle is the oldest division of the company. It came into being in 1912, with the opening of a retail chemist shop in Port Louis. However, from 1919 onward, this division changed its approach, and began importing pharmaceutical products in bulk.

From representing a few international laboratories in 1919, the pharmaceutical division of Pharmacie Nouvelle has succeeded in building itself into a strong organization, with an extensive distribution network, and a highly specialised marketing team.
